With an effective date of 1 January 2014, following internal re-organisation, the CAPE Partner previously known as Beijing Aerospace Times Optical-Electronic Co. Technology Ltd., trading as ATOE, has now become Beijing Institute of Aerospace Control Devices, trading as BIACD. This was done with the unanimous approval of the other three CAPE Partners, Disney Research, Dow Corning Corporation and Jaguar Land Rover.

A Novation Agreement with Cambridge University has recently been executed to confirm that, as of the effective date, BIACD agreed to take on and comply with all those CAPE rights and liabilities under the CAPE Partnership Agreement (CPA) to which ATOE previously agreed on becoming a CAPE Partner on 1 October 2013.
